Apply to the Creative Skills Fund

At the heart of our creative industries, from film and TV to animation and games, are the talented people who drive them. This fund is set up to nurture new and existing talent to help creatives to train, upskill and diversify, specifically within our 10 priority areas.

We can fund projects that focus on one or more of the following priorities:

• Business and Leadership Training
• Talent Support
• Improve Diverse and Inclusive Recruitment
• Entry Level Placements and Opportunities
• Upskilling Placements and Opportunities
• Education and New Curriculum
• Careers Awareness
• Innovation
• Bridging the Gap Between FE/HE and Industry
• Wellbeing of the Workforce and Support for Freelancers

This funding round we’re prioritising projects that fill skills gaps within screen, music, animation, games and immersive tech. For some examples within each sector please read the guidance notes.

We particularly welcome submissions from training providers for projects which will deliver against our priorities of developing a truly diverse and inclusive workforce and Welsh language talent across the screen, music and games and immersive technology sectors in Wales.

You can apply if you are an organisation or business with a track record of delivering high quality skills and training projects within the creative industries.

A Maximum £125,000 is available for each project and the fund can support your project for up to 2 years.

The fund opens on 14th March, and will close to applications on 10th May 2024 at 12.00 noon.

Please note: This is a competitive grant, meaning not all applications will be approved. The project must not start until your application is approved and an offer letter has been issued.
